On 04/14/08, The Antrim Police Department in conjunction with the NH Division of Child Youth and Families initiated an investigation into the alleged assault of a two year old Antrim boy. DCYF reported that the two year old boy was brought to the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough with apparent unexplained injuries to his facial area and arms. The boy was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon where he was treated for a broken collar bone and arm.
Pursuant to the investigation, 20 year old Eugene Robichaud , 19 Mechanic Street Keene, NH was arrested for first degree assault. He was arraigned at the Henniker District Court and bail was set at $10,000.00 cash/surety. He was released to the custody of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and is currently incarcerated at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections. A probable cause hearing has been set for April 21, 2008 at the Henniker District Court-Hillsborough Session.
The suspect is of no relation to the victim or the victim's family. Robichaud was responsible for the child's wellbeing during the time of the alleged incident.
