We have seen many changes at the Recycling and Transfer Station this past year. First, and foremost we wish to thank all the residents who are helping with our recycling efforts. Last year we handled over 500 tons of waste, several containers of glass, and thousands of pounds of paper, aluminum cans, and plastic bottles.
We were able to make major improvements to our station with new lights, and a new enclosure for the bad weather days. The land was cleared just before winter and this spring we will be making major improvements to the yard. Our goal is to make the ARTS Station as environmentally friendly as possible and to make the handling of waste easy for everyone, while we find ways to reduce our cost.
Our committee is looking for some new members and would welcome your suggestions.
Thank you again for your support.
